Aaron serves as outside general counsel to entrepreneurs and growth companies, providing comprehensive legal counsel from formation through exit. His practice focuses on corporate law, commercial transactions, and business operations across diverse industries, with particular depth in ecommerce, Amazon marketplace businesses, and technology companies.

 

  • Aaron guides clients through critical legal, business, and strategic decisions at every stage of their business lifecycle.

    His practice includes venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, intellectual property licensing, and equity compensation. He works directly with founders and management teams on deal structures, risk allocation, and operational issues that affect growth trajectory and valuation. For ecommerce and Amazon aggregator clients, he advises on distribution, logistics, and supply agreements, as well as brand acquisitions, intellectual property licensing and protection, as well as platform compliance matters.

    Prior to founding Messing, P.C., Aaron was a partner at a boutique full-service law firm serving clients ranging from startups to Fortune 50 companies. He previously served as Chief Privacy Officer at Advanced Health Media, LLC (a multinational technology and service provider) and Chief Privacy and Security Officer at Avatar Solutions LLC (a leading enterprise health care consulting firm prior to its acquisition by Press Gainey). This operating experience shapes his approach as counsel—he understands business constraints, implementation realities, and how to tailor solutions to balance risk and incentives. Clients value his pragmatic approach, as well as his ability to develop creative solutions when standard approaches fail.

    Aaron has been recognized by Chambers & Partners as a "notable practitioner" in Corporate/Commercial law (Spotlight New York 2025, 2026). He has been named a New York Metro Rising Star by Super Lawyers (2016-2022) and New Jersey Rising Star (2017-2021). He graduated cum laude from Fordham Law and holds degrees from Binghamton University (BA cum laude, MA magna cum laude).
